Sophia is starting to sit on her own but only for a few seconds at a time! She is quite strong and I think will be crawling in the next couple of months. She is also still drooling like a waterfall- can't wait to see those teeth. Most of the time she is ok with it, but does get a little fussy here and there. During those times she just wants Mommy or Daddy to hold her. She is also doing great in the food department. So far she likes carrots, green beans and peas. I think her fave is peas, which I cannot stand even the smell of, but she eats them better than anything else so far.

Sophia Meets Brooklyn
Congrats to LeeAnn and Brett who welcomed their new baby girl, Brooklyn Mackenzie, into the world this week! Brooklyn arrived early on Tuesday morning and weighed in at 6 pounds and 3 ounces. Kate, Sophie and I ventured up to Ohio today to see her. She is the sweetest baby and so tiny! She also looks just like her beautiful mommy. Evan is a proud big brother and a big help to LeeAnn. I can't wait for these 2 girls to get to know each other as soon as they are big enough! They are going to have so much fun and they don't even know it yet!

Watch out world~~ HERE WE COME!!!

Sophia started to really like the jumperoo about a week ago!! She squeals and smiles the whole time she is in it!
First time in the pool at LeeAnn's
Sophia's hair has started to fall out in chunks. She is starting to look like a man whose hair is thinning out. Mom says this happened to me as well, and then it grew back in blonde. I think Sophia will be the same except she may have her dad's white blonde hair. Her eyes have remained blue as far, and I hope for good!

5 Months
5 months old!!!!! I can hardly believe that our little Sophia is 5 months already. She is really getting big, too! From the best I can estimate, she is about 16 pounds and about 26 inches~ I think. There are so many new things she does now that I really do not want to return to work, at least not full time. I might miss out on something. I really hope when new things happen, no one tells me then I will not feel like I have missed out. :)
New things Sophie does

New things Sophie does
- Rolls all over the place!!!! We turn our backs and she is across the room.
- Laughs when playing Peek-A-Boo most of the time- or at least a little giggle.
- Reaches for objects all the time.
- Once she gets the toy, it goes into her mouth.
- Happy to see Daddy when he comes home from work. She has a HUGE smile and then will lean toward him. It is soooo sweet!
- Goes to bed about 9:00 and gets up anywhere from 5:00 to 7:00 am.
- Drools like a waterfall- those bottom teeth will be here soon!
- Plays with her feet.
- Eats rice cereal and LOVES it.
- Has tried carrots, green beans and peas. She seems to like those too.
- Takes longer naps most of the time- we have moved from 30 minutes to 1 - 2 hours at each naptime.
- I think she will be sitting on her own by the time she turns 6 months.

New Pictures
Another week has come and gone. Sophia is growing like a weed. She is getting to be so heavy to us! She is now eating rice cereal and seems to like it ok- most of the time. Next week we will start introducing veggies to her. Wish us luck! Sophia is also starting to sleep in her crib during the day now. It was a challenge but she finally got it. At first, she absolutely HATED it and would cry as soon as we would lie her down in the crib. Now, after a couple minutes of rocking her- just a little whimper and then she falls asleep. Don't get me wrong, she would much rather sleep in her car seat than anywhere else during the day. Another big milestone- she rolled from her back to her belly last week. She did this feat for Daddy while Mommy was at a training for school. Of course, once I got home she wouldn't do it. I would leave the room, and then she would roll! Now, she gets mad when she rolls over onto her tummy since she does not like to be on her belly. I think it is just a matter of time before she is rolling all over the place!
Sophia really has the best deposition. She is such a happy baby and just goes with the flow. She loves to smile and mimics all kinds of different sounds that we all make at her. She is also starting to laugh more and more- it is the CUTEST giggle I think I have ever heard.
Mommy and Daddy went and stayed the night at LeeAnn's house this week. Sophia stayed at Aunt Kate's and Nana's houses. A big thanks to both of them for letting us enjoy a night out and day at King's Island. While it was fun to go to King's Island, we can't wait for Sophie to be old enough to go and ride the kiddie coasters. So much fun is coming for all of us!!!
